Family Picture

When Megan came up last summer I wanted to have a picture with all of the grandchildren in it.  Here is the chaos that ensued when six of them were under the age of three.

We got Abigail in place, but Benson wanted his Mom.

Lincoln decides to be Tarzan.  Still no Benson.  Abigail is missing.

Benson returns, but Cole has reached his limit.  Lincoln the clown.

Are we having fun yet?

About the best we could manage.  Maybe this year . . .

That's All Folks

After 30+ years in the family, Bugs finally bit the dust today.  Our kids pulled off his years many years ago.  He has been chewed and slobbered on, kicked and tossed around.   And with our grandchildren a whole new generation got to enjoy him.  No one enjoyed him more than Ross, who giggled and giggled when he was just 4-6 months old.  He startled some of the grandchildren, though.  His last day was spent being vigorously shoved down into his box by Cole, which hastened  his demise.  RIP

Cheesy Smile

Last night we had little visitors.  Emory loves string cheese.  I wondered how she was going to eat it with just two bottom teeth, but she managed to gum it and shred it with those teeth.  She lets us know when she is done by throwing the food on the floor.  Kind of a sticky, gluey glob . . . but, hey, she was very happy.

RootsTech

Here I was today downstairs, fireplace on, enjoying the comfort of the couch, and watching some of the RootsTech sessions.  One session that I was watched was on using social media to make more connections with your genealogy research.  The stories were very impressive.  They asked the audience how many had a blog.  I assume from the presenter's reaction that quite a few hands went up.  Mine could have gone up, but then I realized how long it has been since I have done a post.  Way too long.  I need to do better and I need to use it as a tool as was shown in the class today.  I don't have a Facebook account . . . yet nor do I tweet or pin.  But she showed some very interesting things with various media sources that leaves me rethinking about better ways to share what I am learning.
